Volunteer Information
The club is 100% made of volunteers
like you (parents and
other interested parties)
that like the idea of promoting youth soccer in our community (City of
Sunnyvale -Did you know that the City of Sunnyvale has more fields
dedicated to recreation than any of the surrounding cities?). In any
case, the club needs a continuos influx of volunteers to keep the club
running (the more volunteers the easier on everybody). The tasks are
not difficult or time consuming, but they require commitment.
Remember, this investment of your (our) time is for the
benefit of your kids.
The desired situation: each team has a
member on the board or
assists the board in the various tasks! Is
your team
represented? Competitive teams are REQUIRED to provide adult referee
game coverage (youth also welcome in addition) and volunteer time.
Contact (Chuck Kluz)
about helping with new Sunnyvale Soccer Complex to be run by SASC at
former Patrick Henry Middle School site. Fields need renovation and we
need volunteers to work on fields, and donations of money, equipment
(or use), materials (dirt, compost, sod, seed, fertilizer, etc...) and
services (lawnmowing, fertilizing, weed killing, etc...). Fundraising
and work in progress NOW, while we use fields with incremental
improvements by volunteers.
THANK YOU to those who have helped so far.
Board Status
The board members are listed below, along with open positions, with brief job descriptions for each. Elections and nominations for Board positions are held every 1st Thursday of the month of November (except open positions which Board votes in new members at any monthly meeting).
Assistants and other volunteers
Alternatively join our pool of "on-call" volunteers to assist us on the various small projects. Send us an email (volunteer@sunnyvalesoccerclub.org) to add your name to the list of volunteer staff. We will notify you when the various tasks come about. Your help is appreciated by us and your
kids.

No experience is necessary, furthermore, the club will help you get started and will provide initial training. If you have some number of seasons under your belt we encourage you to continue.
