The following is a list of age group and
individual team tryouts. Age group tryouts are combined tryouts intended to
place players at the appropriate comp level. Individual team tryouts are
tryouts being run by respective SASC teams.
Please use the
age group calculator to determine
the appropriate age group for your child. If you need additional help or
information please contact the
Competitive
Director. Age groups denoted below are for the Fall 2011 & Spring 2012
seasons.

Crewe 00 Red, White and
Black are all competitive teams and we are currently looking for additional
committed and motivated players for each of the three teams. We are
particularly interested in players who are interested in playing in goal, but
we do need additional outfield players as well. The head coach for the teams is
Neil Hughes who holds a NSCAA Advanced National Diploma (USSF "B" License
equivalent). Neil is supported by a team of 4 professional and volunteer
coaches. Our programs main focus is on player development and preparation for
higher playing levels. Player birthdates are from 8/1/00 – 7/31/01.
Tryouts will be held at our normal practice sessions, which run on Mondays,
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Monday thru Wednesday we practice at
Cupertino Middle School, starting at 5:30pm. On Friday we practice at Sunnyvale

Fury 98 Red, a CCSL
Silver, class 1, team will be evaluating players for our Fall 2011 roster. We
are developmentally oriented, both in terms of individual skill and developing
team play. Our players play multiple positions to broaden their skills and make
them, and the team, more versatile. Players are consistently challenged at the
correct developmental level for their individual needs. We regularly work on
technical, as well as tactical skills, with the assistance of our trainer,
Andrew Ransome, a USSF A license trainer and previous National Finalist for the
Positive Coaching Alliance Double-Goal Coach of the Year! Although playing time
is earned, every player plays significant time at every game. Interested
players will be invited to a couple of our practices so they can 'check us out'
and we can see them in a less stressful situation than a formal tryout. We want
to see potential players a couple of times in an environment that gives them
confidence to really 'show us their stuff'. Fury soccer is a fast, physical
game that requires skill as well as trust and support in your team mates.

United 97 Red is a year
round, high level class 1 girls team. In the fall 2010 season, the team won the
CYSA Silver Elite Division. They will be moving up to the Bay Gold Division in
2011, the highest class 1 Division. The team also had tournament success in
2010, winning the Turlock New Year Derby, taking third in the Battle of the
Bay, and second in the Stanford Spring Classic Cup. The team is coached by
professional coach John Slegg. Coach John focuses on the long-term development
of the team and each of its individual players. Players are encouraged to make
their own decisions out on the field with each coach helping to create a
healthy learning environment. Improving players individual technical skills, as
well as their tactical understanding of the game are our two main priorities.
United 97 Red has a sister team, United 97 White, which is a lower level class

also have the possibility of moving up or down a team in order to help their

Spring Bracket for the Spring 2011 season. Our training resumes at the
conclusion of High School winter soccer. We are a competitive team playing year
round with tournaments in August, September, and October. The team tryout
process is simple. All prospective players will be invited to join the team
during regular training sessions. The evaluation is short (two sessions).We
have players from many area high schools, including Monta Vista, Homestead, St.
Francis, Mitty, Lynbrook, and Westmont. We are a fun team. For additional

registered in early June and we are now looking to add players. Tryouts will be
