Volunteering at SASC

Volunteering Opportunities

Sunnyvale Alliance is a non profit, dedicated to promoting youth soccer in Sunnyvale and its surrounding communities. With the help of volunteers, it supports soccer programs year round and assists families as needed.

For Families of Competitive Program Players

For each SASC competitive player, families are required to volunteer 3 hours per season (Fall/Spring) on an approved activity through iVolunteer.

For each SASC competitive player, a $100 volunteer fee is collected for each season (Fall/Spring), which can then be refunded once the volunteer time commitment has been satisfied for that season.

The competitive program volunteer policy can be found here.

Volunteer Openings

Sign up for a volunteer job or activity on iVolunteer to satisfy your family's volunteer commitment.

Interested in a recreational or competitive registration discount? Check out the available opportunities here.

Volunteer Fee Refund

Each season, families are eligible for a $100 volunteer fee refund once they have completed their 3 hour volunteer commitment for that season.

Note that a separate volunteer time commitment and refund request is required for each competitive player within a family.

The deadline to request a refund for the Spring 2024 season is June 15th, 2024. Please allow 10-15 business days to process.

Other Ways to Help

Board of Directors

Join the Board and get involved. More information here.

Community Service for Kids

Players who are in 6th grade or older can earn community hours volunteering with Sunnyvale Alliance. Opportunities may include striping fields, mentoring younger teams, or maybe even helping out at summer camps. Ask how they can help and earn volunteer hours for their school and the club. Contact volunteer@sunnyvalesoccer.org for more information.

Referees Needed

The club and soccer community are always in need of referees. Being a referee is a great beginner job for soccer players. We encourage adults and teens to check out this opportunity.

Company Matching Program

If you volunteer more than 3 hours, your company may have a "volunteer for donation" matching program that could benefit our Sunnyvale Alliance non-profit. Check with your company's benefits administrator and maximize your volunteering time.

Donate Soccer Cleats and Equipment

The SASC Cleat Exchange Program accepts cleats, futsal shoes, balls, or other competitive uniforms for our Fall and Spring preseason exchanges. Visit the cleat exchange or look for the dropoff box at the Sunnyvale Soccer Complex. For questions, contact: cleatexchange@sunnyvalesoccer.org
