Team Formation Policy
SASC works hard to forms teams in a fair manner while respecting as many requests for specific coaches and friends as possible. SASC follows the guidelines below when forming recreational teams:
  • Teams are formed on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority is given based upon the date the player's registration paperwork is complete.
  • No more than 2 friend requests will be considered for any player.
  • If a request for a coach is submitted, it will have higher priority than the friend request.
  • We also take school attended and place of residence into consideration when placing kids on a team.
Considerations for parents
  • It is not possible to request a specific practice time or location.
  • If there are siblings who need to be on the same team, it is the parents responsibility to notify SASC at the time of registration.
  • If two children need to be placed together due to car pooling needs, it is the parents responsibility to notify SASC at the time of registration.
Once a player has been assigned to a team, it is very difficult for us to move that child. Our volunteers will consider each case individually.

Volunteer Expectations
