50 Years, 1000+ Smiles, and One Unforgettable Night at the Pumpkin Patch!

Sunnyvale Alliance just turned 50, and we celebrated the only way we know how: with a party big enough for the whole family!

On Monday, September 21, well over 1000 members, families and friends poured into ABC Tree Farms' Pick-a-Pumpkin Patch for our 50th anniversary bash. From 3pm until the sun went down at 8pm, the farm was pure, joyful chaos in the best possible way. Hundreds of kids, from tiny first-timers to towering teens, sprinted from one adventure to the next, red-cheeked, sweaty, grinning ear to ear, and simply being kids.


And what adventures they were! Bouncy castles shook with nonstop jumping. Slides sent kids flying. Obstacle courses turned into epic races, and the labyrinths had everyone twisting, turning and laughing their way to the exit. Paintball brought out the competitive streak, while the goats happily soaked up more attention than they've probably had all year.


Over at the face-painting stations, our amazing volunteers worked their magic all evening, turning kids into butterflies and panda bears and decorating faces with flowers and glitter. By the end of the night, you could spot a sparkle on just about every cheek in the patch.


To keep all that energy going, there was fruit, cupcakes and plenty of cold water for kids and families alike.


Five hours sounds like a marathon, but it felt like a sprint. That's the power of this community. Our coaches showed up in force, board members jumped right in, and our incredible volunteers made every moment possible with smiles that never faded.

Then came the grand finale. As the evening wound down, Executive Director Marius Roevde stepped up to serve an anniversary cake to the crowd, a sweet ending to a night worth celebrating after 50 years of Sunnyvale Alliance soccer.

None of this would have been possible without our amazing volunteers. You painted faces, set up and cleaned up, handed out snacks, kept kids safe and happy, and did it all with endless energy and big smiles. You gave your time to make this night unforgettable, and we are truly grateful. You are the heart of this club!

And to our club members: you are simply awesome. You showed up, brought your families and friends, and filled the pumpkin patch with laughter, kindness and community spirit.

Fifty years on, Sunnyvale Alliance is still a place where everyone belongs, where kids can play, grow and just have fun together. We're a special club because we're a special community, and that's all thanks to you.
