SASC Recreational Soccer Player Registration

This information is for Recreational Soccer Player registration only.

Important: Online player registration must be completed by the child's parent/legal guardian; no one else can complete a player's registration on their behalf.

Registration Information - Fall 2021 Season

Registration

  • Registration for the Fall 2021 Recreational Season is now OPEN!
  • Registration will close at the end of August 14, 2021

Dates

  • 10 week season:
    • First game: 9/11/21
    • Last game: 11/13/21
  • There will be no make-ups scheduled for canceled games

Age Groups / Team Formation (NEW)

  • U6 : Clinics and Games
    • Teams of ~5 players plus a parent/volunteer coach
    • 60 minute Saturday sessions:
      • First half - clinic/practice run by a SASC professional coach assisted by the volunteer/team coach
      • Second half - 3v3 game, run by the volunteer coach
    • All players must turn 4 by Aug 1, 2021. (i.e. players must be born between 1/1/2016 - 8/1/2017 inclusive)
    • Younger players will be considered if a parent also registers as the team coach
  • U7 : In-house games
    • Each team will have a parent/volunteer coach
    • Games are 4v4, no goalkeeper
    • For players born in 2015
  • U8
    • Each team will have a parent/volunteer coach
    • Games are 5v5 (4+goalkeeper)
    • For players born in 2014
  • U10
    • Each team will have a parent/volunteer coach
    • Games are anticipated to be 7v7 (including goalkeeper)
    • For players born 2012 and 2013
  • U12
    • Each team will have a parent/volunteer coach
    • Games are anticipated to be 9v9 (including goalkeeper)
    • For players born 2010 and 2011
  • U14+
    • Each team will have a parent/volunteer coach
    • Games are anticipated to be 11v11 (including goalkeeper)
    • For players born 2009 and earlier

  • Teams are formed based on friend requests, coach requests and neighborhoods. We make every effort to accommodate all requests.
  • All Age divisions formed will depend on registration numbers. Please see the rec overview page for more details on team formation.

Coaches needed

  • Our program relies on parent/volunteer coaches, please consider volunteering to coach your child's team
  • Coaches receive in-person training before the season as well as ongoing support throughout the season
  • All required equipment is provided (plus a SASC hat/shirt to keep)
  • (NEW) Head coaches receive a 50% discount on registration fee!
    • Issued after season starts and successful completion of mandated registration events

Registration Fees

    Regular Fee (from July 15)
    • U6: $165
    • U7+: $185
  • Registration fee includes a complete uniform
  • Financial Aid is available. Please review eligibility and submit a request on the SASC Financial Aid page before registering

Required paperwork

  • Proof of age documentation is required for all new players to SASC. You will receive a separate emailed request to upload it if required.
    • A copy of the child's birth certificate or a copy of the photo page of their passport must be uploaded to the registration website. No hospital certificates or foreign language birth documents are accepted. Please contact recregistration@sunnyvalesoccer.org if your birth document is only available in a foreign language.

Payment and Refund Policy

  • Refund requests made on or before June 30th: $100
  • Refund requests made from July 1st till Aug 22: $75
  • No refunds from Aug 23 or later

  • All refund requests must be made in writing at: www.sunnyvalesoccer.org/refunds
  • Refunds can take up to 4 weeks to process
  • Players who register for the SASC Recreational program and move to a SASC Competitive program must email recregistration@sunnyvalesoccer.org and submit a refund request
  • Non-standard refunds (e.g. major injury, moving out of town, ...) are pro-rated plus a 5% processing fee

Please note - a player may not register for the SASC Recreational Soccer Program if they are also registered for any competitive soccer team (regardless of what club it is, SASC or otherwise)
